Yuri Review: Whisper Me a Love Song

Main Characters
Sasayaku You ni Koi wo Utau
Backflap Summary
Yori Asanagi is a mature girl in many ways but is still pure when it comes to romance. That sentiment is proven when an underclassman, Himari Kino, suddenly confesses love to her after her band performance at the freshman opening ceremony.
Confused and surprised, Yori asks her friends for consultation, but they tease her by saying that she is experiencing love. Yori soon makes up her mind and tries to return Himari’s feelings, but in a twist of events, she realizes that what Himari loved was not her, but her music!
Volume 1 Review
“Ah? A misunderstanding? No! Wait, maybe? No… But I will fight!”
Could you bare to show your face when you confess your unrequited love? Or would you fight for your feelings? The feeling of never wanting to be out of sight of your love interest. So enveloped in their every movement and word. So willing to put it all on the line at a moment’s notice because even a day is too long to be without them. Swoon
Everything just works. The duality of the shy resolve of Yori mixed with the indecision and energy of Himari. The cast of other characters are brought in immediately and are fun and vibrant, while also pushing Yori around in fun ways. Himari is so bright, cheery, and pushy, which is a nice reversal from other romance manga. Her friend Miki provides nice contrast and a sounding board for Himari’s bright personality. The art isn’t innovative, but is very strong. Fun play with chibi moments, expression is clear, and very easy to follow everything. I adore this series so far!
