Thoughts: There’s not terribly much to say on this one, I’m afraid. I was listening to my favorite games podcast, noclip_2, and this came up quite awhile ago. I saw it on sale for $2.50 on the Steam sale carousel and I decided to try it out.

It’s a fun game. Its concept is clear, its mechanics are intuitive and you mostly feel clever once you’ve figured out the gimmick for whichever puzzle you are working on. In one sentence, this is a subversive jigsaw puzzle game. There are language and game mechanic misdirects that breathe some new life into the idea of putting together a puzzle. I would say this is smack dab in the middle of a digital jigsaw with no game mechanics and something more robust like The Curse of the Golden Idol or other mainline, proper deductive games. But that’s it’s strength! It’s not intimidating and there no timers. You can pick it up and finish it in a sitting or take a week like I did. This game has more than enough content and trickery to make it worth the time and money!

HowLongToBeat has this game at about 2.5 hours, but it took me longer. There is a lovely tiered hint site by the developed, FLEB, that I highly recommend! I used the hints 4 or 5 times and felt like it really moved me along at a good pace for a short indie game.
