It’s October 17th and I need to get into the autumnal spirit in a bad way. I hope keeping this list gets me there! If something struck me, I will write a few words or identify it as a recommended watch, otherwise it just goes on the list!

Blade
Stanced Out Wesley Snipes
Finally, a god-damned vampire movie that understands transgressive sex appeal is what we are looking for. The aesthetics are serving Matrix realness. It is filled with 2000s grungy goodness. Wesley Snipes stanced out in front of his car is nothing short of iconic.
Look, if the horny, blood lust isn’t enough for you, the drama of Blade is all about blood (pun intended) purity politics and class revolution. The vampires have created social division based on those born as vampires, versus those turned after being born human. The main antagonist that Blade stops, is fighting a class revolution. Also, who doesn’t love a centuries-long all-man led government of vampires being felled by one woman? Excellent. At least I know I share one thing in common with those old bats.
Bram Stoker’s Dracula
All I want to say is God. Damn. Monica Belluci. She’s only in the movie for a few minutes, but she stole the show for me 😳
My one sentence review: Incel believes in God and makes it everyone elses problem. Obviously repressed gay man has faghag harem and fumbles his life over Winona Ryder. Which, is forgivable.
Other option: Male loneliness epidemic turns one man into centuries-long killing machine until long-lost love makes him unalive himself.
This movie is brilliant and I can’t recommend it enough. It’s a play
Dracula Untold
Lead is giving tr@ans man, and I am living for it. The scar reveal was insane! I love the lore dropping early on, it was genuinely interesting and easy to follow. I will say the only confusing bit is the wife’s change of heart. I will say, elite acting from her when she looks at Dracula, you can feel the ride-or-die in her eyes.
Harry Potter & The Philosopher’s Stone, Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets
Yeah, look. Am I tr@ns? Yes. Was I also the target demographic for HP? Also, yes. I already owned the full movie set before shit hit the fan, so she doesn’t profit when I watch. So, that’s that. Also, the Christopher Columbus (yeah, lmao not great) directed films have a cozy feel perfect for the fall.
