The Great Mouse Detective
Movies
- The Great Mouse Detective - Re-watched this with my sister over the holiday after listing off our top 4 movies (inspired by Letterboxd though neither of us have accounts). I’ll post my top 4 on the about me, but for now know it’s holding steady there.
Music
- D’Evils | SiR - Popular song and popular artist. If you have somehow missed SiR, this is one of my faves.
- C Carter | Cordae - Was it his bag check interview or his verse on all-time fav song Doomsday? Who can say. This boy is dummy cute and seems humble on cam/verse, love the vibe of this song.
News/Essays
- Inside an ICE Defense Training on Fortnite | 404 Media - At a loss for words atm.
- ‘Slop Evader’ Lets You Surf the Web Like It’s 2022 | 404 Media - A simple extension (Chrome/Firefox) that loads a pre-Chat-GPT for your enjoyment.
YouTube
- Investigating Things That I Shouldn’t on Tumblr | STRANGE AEONS - If you haven’t watched her channel, give her a watch! Funny lesbian Tumblerina, what’s not to like?
Books/Manga
- The Fingersmith - I did it. I finished all 580 odd pages of this book. I’m still figuring out my final thoughts, but I must say the final 20 pages made the 2-300 before it worth it. Wow, is it just a truism that sapphics are prone to this level of torture and pain? Christ, not me at least. I have many big opinions, but it was a ride I am glad to have gone on. I’m sure I will similarly regret my next fiction pick!
Games
- The Dungeons of Hinterberg - I can’t explain it, but I keep getting drawn back into this game. I am truly baffled. It has finally dug its claws into the “just one more round feeling.” Even with the relationship mechanics, I can just fast-forward through and get the perks I want, thus jumping right back into the dungeons. I am about a fourth the way through the dungeons and am loving the final region. The mobility skill is excellent and just feels good going about the areas. The final region feels more like a victory lap, rather than a final boss - though I am sure to eat my words when I’m properly leveled for the end game much later on. Otherwise, I am really enjoying jumping in and out. The vistas are excellend, the gameplay and dungeons are creative and really push the boundaries of visuals in a way that even when the puzzles frustrate, I can still appreciate the effort and artistry from the designers. Really excited to keep plugging along with this one.
