• Witch Watch - What can I say? It’s an adorable slice-of-life romance about a cute witch and an ogre boy. I can really only do het romance if all of the control is in the hands of the woman, and this checks that box.
• Detective Conan - Oldie but a goodie! First time watch after seeing it referenced plenty of places. It’s a Japanese take on Sherlock Holmes, and has some surprisingly mature content with cute writing that mostly holds up.

Reading

• Princess Jellyfish I had no idea what this series was about. I bought the first omnibus volume and it has sat in plastic wrap for at least a year at this point. I’ve been reading a chapter or two every night and really appreciate this story. It is so emblematic of a particular time (early 2000s adulthood) with a narrative conceit that very much holds up today. It’s quite curious, there are two quite distinct main characters, and it works! There is something undeniably charming about the characters - with all their flaws.

Games

• The Outer Worlds The Thaumaturge was slowing down and I was getting tired of reading all that text, so I decided to pick up a no-brain, just shoot game. I rolled credits on this sunny Sunday, and it was exactly what I needed. I put in 20 hours, which include most of the side-quests, and some of the companion content. • What I’m Here 4 | Gang Starr Have I ever been so moved by a line as I have with “Peace to the young ladies, who wanna bone me much”? Still yet to be seem. What is known is that you hate to see someone else living your dream.
