Music

  • Hush | Porch Light | 2026 - Absolute banger of a follow-up (first studio album) for my absolute favorite band I discovered in 2025. I saw them in concert and it really just solidified how much I love this band.

Books/Manga

  • Annihilation | Jeff VanderMeer - Wrapped this book in two days. Review up here, I can’t express how great this was.
  • Yuri is My Job! | Volume 1 | Miman - A very fun concept. It’s clearly trying to be the sapphic mirror to Ouran High School Host Club. Luckily, they don’t try to reuse the same gimmick or setting that tricked Haruhi in joining. Instead, the main character is a all about putting on a “perfect girl” facade which is immediately broken when she accidentally bumps a woman over, guilting her into working at her cafe. The cafe da dummmmmm is a yuri cafe, where the girls who work there immerse patrons into a German all-girls private school. Hence, the title. It’s pretty silly and clever how they play with the main character and how you see some steady character growth. Tbh, for me, it’s too much drama and not much, if any, romance, which is not my thing. Still seems pretty good quality story and art if you are more of a drama girl!
